The CLOFTICE; a sneak peak

The Official Style On Pointe CLOFTICE
Three day weekends are amazing... and exhausting. I tend to forget how much I love having 4 hours in the morning with just the baby and myself until preschool is out. With today being MLK JR Day school was closed and I had the three kids home with me. We invited another family over for a playdate this morning which was lots of fun. 7 kids. 2 moms. 30 degree weather. Needless to say, we stayed inside and the house was a disaster when they left... but they had fun and used up lots of energy! It's crazy how much we take outside play time for granted. When I lived in Florida we would play outside in increments because of the heat; now it's the complete opposite where after 10 minutes we're freezing our tails off! Talk about a 180!
Anyway, this afternoon I was able to spend a little time in my "cloftice" ... I know a "cloffice" is all the rage; but I took it one step further by putting my cloffice in the loft. Hence, we have, the cloftice.
If you are unaware, a cloffice is a duel purpose closet and office. It's pretty much genius. If you have a spare room in your home to use as a personal office, why not making it multipurpose by using the perimeter as a closet. Being surrounded by shoes and purses makes working a little easier. IMO...
The official closet part gets installed next month, but atleast I unpacked the boxes that had been in the space and cleared it out to start using it. I've linked my rug, desk, chair and chandelier below. I highly recommend all of the pieces. (The Jonathan Adler desk is not as sturdy as some; but it is great for a laptop and small things and a major bonus is that it looks beautiful free standing in a room πŸ™Œ)
I didn't realize until linking these items; but they can all be found via Wayfair.com. If you haven't used Wayfair for your home furnishings--you're missing out. Mayfair's sister companies; ALLModern, BirchLane, Joss & Main, and Perigold are truly my go-to's for home styling and even event decor. Just a heads up... it's worth checking out!
Can't wait to give you more updates on the house!

Embroidered Floral for Fall

Did you notice all the embroidered details that were popping up all Spring and Summer? Well the trend is still going strong for Fall... and I love it. I also love that pink is yet again an IT color for the season.
I snagged this beautiful light weight sweater from LOFT for less than $33 and am in love. the various shades of pink embroidered flowers, the heathered grey and the cute detail of the slit sleeves keep it easy to dress up or down!

Above I paired it with my favorite Paige jeans, Sam Edelman Hazel dress pumps in Pink Sugar, and my Tory Burch grey cross body bag. I could also easily pair it with a pair of cut-off shorts, slip on converse and a pink leathered hobo bag for a weekend at the farmers market! So versatile!

Do you have any embroidered pieces in your wardrobe? Plan on getting any? LOFT is still having a great sale where literally everything is 40% off! I suggest checking it out to grab some embroidery!

Fall Favorite: Blush & Animal Print

I am seeing my favorite fall trend all. over. the. place! Blush & animal print.
I wore this combo to a charity gala this past weekend and received so many compliments and questions that I wanted to share the details.
Bardot Midi
This beautiful dress is by Bardot and available at Nordstroms for under $120.
I paired it with nude heels and a Sole Society leopard print clutch. My specific one is sold out but I've shared two below that are on point and won't break the bank!
Cheetah fold over
Leopard Pouch
I've also worn this combination with a millennial pink cable knit sweater and leopard print Sam Edelmans this week that I will share soon. But what I love even more, is that I am seeing it in HOMES.
It makes sense doesn't it?! To replicate your favorite closet pieces into your home? Your living space should always represent you and be a foundation for how your home makes you feel... so make it pretty and polished, or wild and colorful, or a monochromatic oasis... whatever it is that represents you.

Randi Garrett Designs
Randi Garrett Designs updated her master bedroom for fall and I am loving it! Check out her blog here for more shots of her blush and animal print glam fall room!

What are your favorite trends from your wardrobe that you would want to incorporate into your home? I'd love to hear!

Instagram fashion links

If you've been following me on IG, you have probably seen me post a few of my favorite transitions pieces for summer into fall. As promised, I've linked them below. 😊
 | sweatshirt | | bralette |
This Treasure+Bond slouchy pull over is super soft and comfortable. And it's  less than $30! I am definitely going to grab it in the mustard yellow color, as well! And with all the OTS sweaters that you'll be seeing this season, cute bralettes and camisoles with pretty straps will be super useful! This one is a go-to with the ultra feminine thin strap.
If you want a strap that makes more of a statement (showing that yes, I know my strap is showing and I planned it that way...)go for this one.
| Dooney & Burke | | Heels |
This purse is one that my husband gifted me last year, but I absolutely love it. The Barlow's soft pleats and structured shape is casual and chic and this version is the perfect size for day or night.
The animal print heels are one of the hottest trends of the season, and these shoes are totally comfortable... so win-win! I also love the same ankle strap heels in this mauve suede found here
| sweater | | jeans | | shoes |
This sweater is less than $30 and is easy to dress up or down. The jeans are my FAVORITE ever, and available at better prices on Amazon. I always suggest putting it in your cart and then waiting a day or two to see if the price drops. Once it does, CHECK OUT! It will bounce back up to regular price so keep watching. I did the same thing with these Sam Edelman heels, and today they are less than $50 on Amazon... such a good deal! And they have transitioned really well from spring all the way through summer and into early fall with me πŸ˜‰

If you haven't been following me on Instagram, please do! I'd love to hear from you and follow you back. You can find me here or search @style_on_pointe!

Rainy Day Dinner Style

I love putting together new looks and piecing together outfits. This is one I laid out for a quick and simple evening with friends. It's been a rainy day and so the weather has a bit of chill in the air and I am using that, along with the restaurants air conditioning, to my advantage with this Fall look! I linked the details below!

Also, the sweater and jeans run true to size, but I would size up in the heels! They are available at Nordstrom as well, here, but I got a better price (almost $100 less!) through Amazon πŸ˜€

Is it FALL yet?! || Fall Fashion Round Up ||

I love that pre-season football has started. It reminds me that the heat is going to break soon and Autumn is almost here. ALMOST.
Don't get me wrong. I am definitely making the most of the last days of summer, but I love the anticipation of Fall because of the wardrobe changes. Cozy sweaters and blankets are kind of my thing. 😁
So, in preparation for the "-ber" months, I've been doing online shopping and taking advantage of some of the great discounts available now.

I actually started getting boxes early this week and decided to hide them under my daughters bed.πŸ™ˆ
It was partly because I didn't want to answer why I was buying these warm clothes when it's 95 degrees out, and partly because we will be moving in a few weeks and I figured I could wait to open them until I was unpacking in the new home. I was wrong. I couldn't wait. Go figure.

So now I have more to pack, but I also have more to share with you πŸ˜€
Up first, is this perfect transition piece, Thistle & Finn. The short sleeve sweater tunic is so easy to wear!
| sweater tunic |
Another great grab from Thistle & Finn, is this super comfy grey cardigan hoodie. I love that it's light weight enough to wear now with a cami and later over long sleeves. I may need to get the oatmeal color, too!
| cardigan hoodie |
So before I even tried it on, I bought this sweater from Missguided in two colors. I just knew I would love it-- and I do! It's available in a ton of color options so check it out!
| black off the shoulder |
| beige off the shoulder |
Now, I also stocked up on some jeans. Express is having a great sale on denim, so if you've been wanting some new jeans and love the distressed look-- this is your go-to. Today the offer is buy one get one for $19.90! Seriously... great jeans for less than $20?! OKAY! I also grabbed a pair of white jean leggings... I love white in winter and these with booties and an off the shoulder tunic will be perfect!
| distressed stretch |

| white stretch jean legging |
Paige denim is my go-to. They never fail me with fit and style. A secret I've learned? Check Amazon. I will put a pair that I want in my cart and wait a few days for the price to drop. Seriously. I got these for $85, and today the price is $239. Sizes and styles change price almost everyday, so do a search once in a while and you may luck out πŸ˜‰
| distressed boyfriend jeans |
When is the last time you've tried Levis? I think I was in elementary school, but I saw these cute jeans on Amazon and am so happy I gave them a try. Plus they're only about $30!
| distressed skinny |
I also bought a go to over the knee boot on Amazon. I have them in black and now purchased the taupe color and love them. I did size up a whole size! I usually wear an 8.5 but purchased a 9.5 and am happy I did. They fit perfectly and they're offered for only $33.99 today! 😱
| Steve Madden OTK boots |
Well, that's my Fall fashion round-up... for now! I'd love to hear if you get any of these pieces and what you think... and if you bargain shop on Amazon 😜

Selfie with Surround

I like to show up to the worksite everyday. It doesn't always happen because of my other schedules, having the children, and just life in general... but it's something I try to get done.
Yesterday I got there around 2:00 pm and everyone had wrapped up for the day. I was doing my walk-thru, checking trim install, and measuring for mirrors. I love the fireplace surround and took a picture of it, and then decided to take a selfie with it. (#millenialproblems πŸ™ˆ)
The fireplace surround is a mosaic of 4 complimenting 3 x 8 tiles in a subway lay. I love that there are various textures ranging from raked to polished and some glistening specs of silver that reflect so nicely in the sun light!
All the items I am wearing are still available and some are on sale, so I've listed below.

These shorts are currently on SALE, and sizes are limited but check to see if yours is available... and you can easily size down.
I LOVE this shirt and it is currently on SALE, here , and available in 8 colors for under $30! What I love most is how versatile it is; I'm wearing it with shorts and sandals and can easily transition it to leggings and boots for Fall. Truly a year-round item!
These shoes are so comfortable and only $27 on Amazon. You can never go wrong with Sam Edelman shoes!
This Jook + Nona necklace is so easy to wear with everything and anything. I chose the "love" tag but there are other sweet options, as well. And it would make a nice gift πŸ˜‰

Radios and Ruffle Sleeves

I love my time driving with the kids. They are at the age where they are paying more attention to what's on the radio and engaging with the songs even if it isn't a childrens tune. They sing along and have their favorites; for example whenever "Side to Side" by Ariana Grande and Nikki Manaj comes on... Dylan announces, "Okay, everyone, it's my song. Shhh...," and then proceeds to jam out.
One song they absolutely stop everything for and listen to is, "I Can Make Your Hands Clap." It's hilarious. The baby even gets in on the clapping.
The smiles from when their songs are on.... and then the smiles when my songs are on... πŸ˜‚ I am also linking my shirt below. The ruffle sleeves with pom pom detail are subtle and very on trend. And it's a real steal at less than $15!

My Nordstrom Closet Additions

Although I did not invest a lot of time preparing for the Nsale this year, I have bought more for myself than I anticipated. It's a blessing and a curse following other fashion bloggers on Instagram as it makes it so darn easy to spot a "must-have" and then click and purchase without investing much time or thought!
Last year at this time I had just had my third baby in three and a half years. There was no part of me that enjoyed shopping for clothes; at least not for me. My mind was totally engulfed in clothes for the littles... because they are so. darn. cute! But now, although I am still obsessed with dressing my darlings in the cutest (and affordable) outfits, I am enjoying dressing myself again, too. So now I realize I need Fall/ Winter clothing... desperately. Like I said, last year I was not in the mood, so I lived in fleece leggings and the warmest tunics I could find. While I did buy 5 pairs of OTK boots (all black, 2 I intended to return and never got around to it.... πŸ˜–) I didn't buy much else. It was my first time experiencing a real Fall and Winter season, but this will be my first time wearing it! I am so psyched!
This light weight cardigan comes in 4 colors; but is selling out FAST! It already re-stocked once during early access but is sure to go quickly again.
BP Lightweight Rib Stitch Card
This sweater I was able to get in the grey and tan option during early-access, but the navy and white is super cute too and still available in most sizes!
B.P Ruffle Bell Cuff Sweater
This sweater is probably my favorite; and the light grey coloring is so soft and neutral I may wear it everyday...
Chelsea28 Bell Sleeve Sweater
This top is so cute and can be worn now! I think the blush color will transition so nicely to Fall, but it comes in 4 other colors as well-- perfect for the holiday parties!
BP Drape Ruffle Cami
Like I said above; 3 kids in 3.5 years... so SPANX is a must. And how cute are these faux leather leggings? Yes, please!
Spanx Faux Leather Leggings
For a laid back day, this relaxed fit sweatshirt is going to be amazing. So soft and comfy.... and it can easily be worn with leggings or jeans.
Make + Model Brushed Hacci Sweatshirt
Speaking of leggings, how adorable are these?! I love that they have the mesh insert and are high waisted... the combo is very flattering!
Zella Autumn High Waist Moto Legging
Adding a casual dress to the line up is a must, too. Pairing this distressed sweatshirt dress with some knee high boots and a chunky scarf will be just the ticket for those casual Saturday afternoon outings!
Socialite Cold Shoulder Dress
This suede mini skirt has been sold out, restocked, sold out, restocked and now I don't even know where it stands. However, if you like it and can't find your size online check your local Nordstrom! I saw it in store even when it was listed as sold out online!
BLANKNYC suede miniskirt
While we are on the suede wagon, I also grabbed this sweet moto jacket. Honestly, it is so soft and buttery I would buy it even if I already had a similar jacket... which I may... 😐
BLANKNYC suede moto
I have never owned a leopard pari of shoes. Or leopard anything for that matter... It's just not my thing. However, my thing just changed. I bought 1... 2...3, leopard items this sale. (4 if you include my Barefoot Dreams throw in my Nsale HOME post😬) I don't know how to explain it, but I like it...
These stilettos are comfortable and cute. Very over looked, but those of us who snagged them love them already!
Sam Edelman Tia
These loafers have been a popular buy by lots of fashion bloggers and at first I thought there was no way I would like them on me... but I was wrong.
Halogen Corbin Calf Hair Slide
And then there's this fold over clutch. Wow. It really is so cute. Again, if you think you'd want it--grab it now as it is selling quickly.
Sole Society Tamika clutch
I am still loving the cold- shoulder trend and like that it is following us into the colder months. Maybe it is just because I am new to areas where people actually turn on the heat, but when I walk inside from the cold, I don't like to be bombarded by warm air. It makes me way too warm. I think if it's 30 degrees outside it should be about 55 degrees inside to be comfortable in the winter clothes I am wearing. Buuutttt... a lot of restaurants here in Charlotte disagree. They crank that heater up to 75. And then here I am in a wool sweater wondering why Winter is so dang hard for me to get. This, though. This gets it.
BP Ruffle cold shoulder
I grabbed a couple of jeans as well, but I will save that for another post when I cover jeans in general-- not just Nsale. How do you think I did? Will these seasonal staples get me through?! I can't wait for temps to drop and find out!!

Nordstrom Sale GIFTS

Have you participated in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year? There are some really great savings on popular brands and items. Yes, of course there are tons of discounts on beautiful clothes (more of that in THIS post) but there are tons of things for your family and home on major sale, too!
It may sound crazy considering this is only July, but if you plan ahead for birthdays and holidays, you could snag some great gifts at a great discount. I love gifting accessories like jewelry and bags to family and friends and things for your home to other important people in our lives, like teachers and neighbors. Here I am going to show you some of the items I bought to use as gifts this holiday season.

FOR HIM:
The first item I bought for my husband was this Salvatore Ferragamo belt. I love the classic Ferragamo buckle and this belt gets major points for being reversible. That feature is huge for men who travel for work like my husband. This will make a great gift this holiday season... if I can wait that long!

I also got him this Ted Baker watch which I will be giving him the end of this month. It's a simple everyday casual watch, but the brown leather strap and blue face adds a fun element. Plus, he wears a ton of blue and doesn't have a blue face watch.
Ted Baker London James Chronograph watch
 Sale: $109.90 After Sale: $165.00

Another Christmas gift I purchased was this Movado watch. (Yes, two watches... he's a watch collector...) I love the black clean face and monochromatic style. If you like a more complex face, this is another good option from Movado.

Movado Bold Bracelet Watch
Sale: $529.90 After Sale: $795.00
FOR HER:
Whether you're shopping for your girl friend, best friend, sister, mom or mil, these gifts are sure to be winners. I know I would love to receive any of them... and I may have "gifted" myself one or two of the things on this list ;)

First up is probably one of the most popular purses involved in this years sale. I know it has been all over my Instagram feed, and for good reason. It's a great bag at a stellar price. This Tory Burch Frida crossbody comes in 3 colors; all of which are great neutrals to match anyones style.
Tory Burch Frida Swingpack Leather Crossbody
Sale: $283.90 After Sale: $428.00
Vince Camuto is one of my favorite designers for shoes, bags and even bathing suits, so I am not surprised this Vince Camuto suede & leather cross body is on my list! The style is cute and on trend and the size is just right for a saddle bag. It's casual and functional-- perfect for the mom on the go or the weekend fashionista to hit the farmers market ;) Another great crossbody bag is here and is currently less than $33.00!
Vince Camuto Kirie Suede & Leather Crossbody Saddle Bag
Sale:$164.90 After Sale: $248.00

How about some earrings for that sister in law? Kendra Scott is always a safe bet and these Filigree drop earrings are gorgeous, under $40, and having a matching necklace here if you want to get the set! I'm also loving these Crispin drop earrings from Bauble Bar. I think the color options are unique and classic and there's no denying these babies are a great price right now!
Kendra Scott Filigree Drop Earrings
Sale: $39.90 After Sale: $60.00
Bauble Bar Crispin Drop Earrings
Sale: $31.90 After Sale: $48.00
I have never had a pair of Sonix sunglasses before but I picked these up on the first day of early access. I chose the marble brown color because I wanted the size and shape to do the talking rather than the color, but the black option is very cool, too! If you haven't heard of Sonix before, I am sure you will hear the brand again because they have several designs that are getting lots of attention. This pair is less than $80 during the sale and the shape is universal enough to look good on all faces.
Sonix Avalon Gradient Lens Square Sunglasses
Sale: $79.90 After Sale: $120.00
I'm actually not surprised that another Tory Burch item is on this list. Tory's got it going on. This double wrap watch is a winner and I would love if someone gifted it to me this holiday season. Or tomorrow. In any of the three colors available! But if you're thinking someone you know would love it, too, you may want to grab it fast as it's selling quickly!
Tory Burch Collins Double Wrap Watch
Sale: $196.90 After Sale: $295.00
If you want to keep things light and fun, maybe for a newer friend or maybe you put a price limit on your secret santa with your girlfriends this year; then there are a ton of scarves to chose from! I'm loving this BP scarf and it's not even $20 right now! Some other cute options are HERE and HERE.
BP Muticolor Grid Square Scarf
Sale: $18.90 After Sale: $29.00
What are your thoughts? Do you think it's too early to be thinking about holiday gifts? Is there anything else you think would be a great for HIM or HER that I didn't list? Let me know what you think!
